Students’ priorities and goals have changed a lot in recent years, and America’s higher education system has evolved with them. Today, there are more pathways to completing a degree and starting that dream career than ever before. AbeSM is all for it.
Undergraduate
Abe loans can be used to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) at approved private and public degree-granting universities and colleges. You can check to see if your school is on the approved list during the application process.
Graduate
Abe covers virtually all types of graduate degrees including:
Doctoral (Ph.D.)
Law Degree (J.D.)

Advanced degrees often require more funding. Abe’s increased aggregate loan limit1 of $350,000 ensures you’re able to get the money you need to pay for your JD, MD, DVM, MBA or DDS degree. This is the maximum total amount of all your student loans combined, including both Private and Federal loans.

Certificate Programs
More and more, students are graduating from college and going on to earn graduate certificates to gain specialized skills within their chosen field. The programs are a relatively fast and inexpensive way to gain a competitive edge in the job market and sometimes may even lead to an increase in pay. Abe is one of the few providers that lets you use your loan to pay for qualified, graduate certificate courses when you are enrolled at an approved school.
Less Than Half-Time Enrollment
Perhaps you need to go to school part-time. Or maybe you’re just one or two credits away from your degree and need to take courses over the summer or during winter break. No problem. An Abe loan can help you get over the finish line.
